MISSION
The Pastoral Residencies in Renew Polk churches are full-time intensive programs of 2-3 years to develop healthy pastors for a lifetime of ministry. The focus is on qualified men attending seminary to pursue ordained vocational ministry.
VISION
We desire a church planting movement in our region led by the next generation of thriving pastors. We want every church in our network to be training Pastoral Residents in their local context and culture. By 2050, we seek for God to train up 250 pastors from our network.
Pastoral Residents who graduate from the program can expect these outcomes:
- Master’s Degree in theological studies
- Hands-on ministry experience
- Gospel-dynamics coaching
- Deep pastoral relationships
- Church planting exposure
- Preaching lab training
- Preparation for licensure and ordination
Renew Polk serves as a hub of shared resources, training, and relationships for the Pastoral Residency programs of each network church. Our desire is for the Residents to form deep community with one another as they pursue their calling together.
